The Rock and Sole Plaice

On our walk back from the Thames yesterday evening we went for fish and chips with Grandfather. The Rock and Sole Plaice in Covent Garden's Endell Street. The chips, made from real potatoes are big and chunky, and probably cooked in traditional beef dripping (but don't quote me, I haven't checked). The haddock was tastier than the cod, in my opinion, but both were succulent. Chips are £3.00 and a plate of fish and chips is just over a tenner, so it's not a super cheap meal. It was warm enough to sit outside and the boys washed theirs down with a bottle of Bud. Erbie ate some chips and drank tap water. While I write this there is talk of an e coli outbreak in Wrexham, traceable to a fish and chip shop. Don't give them a bad name.

I've been past the chippie on Clevelend Street, but never been in, I'll try it out next time I feel the urge. There's one opposite the Hope on Tottenham Street too, but its REALLY bad (authors opinion only).
